There is no other place like Joshua Tree, especially this time of year. The landscape will have you thinking you're on another planet. The small group of four stayed for two days and one night. We arrived in Joshua Tree in the early afternoon on Saturday. That gave us plenty of time to have some fun climbing giant boulders and to set up camp amongst them. Tacos, beans and rice were prepared by yours truly while the family settled down and relaxed. After dinner, we sat around the fire eating s'mores and trying our best to form a band. Aeris on the guitar, Caroline on the hand drum, and me on the ukulele. We could use some practice but we had tons of fun. Coffee was ready before the sun. The bacon was sizzling and the eggs were made to order. We hiked to Skull Rock and found great spots for photos along the way. The short mile long hike ended up taking a couple hours after all the detours, there is just so much to see! After a quick lunch, we were all packed up and ready to go. We stopped on our way out of the park for one more quick hike. Who could resist?
